Services – timber frame design, steelwork connection design, steelwork and timber design, foundation lodging assessment, stability assessment, steelwork detailing.

The project involved the construction of a bespoke new build dwelling. The property is a detached dwelling with open plan living and full heigh glazing to the main elevation.

WB Engineers ltd undertook the design of the structural timber frame together with steelwork to facilitate the open plan areas and the full height glazing support. Due to the extent of the glazing, a moment frame was designed and introduced to the gable wall. Timber racking walls were provided to assist in overall stability of the structure with timber lintels over openings. Steelwork connection design and details was produced for the steelwork frame.
