This project involved the introduction of a new bespoke dwelling as part of a series of 13 self-build plots at the ever growing Wynyard Park development.
The dwelling aims to provide ample living space for both social entertaining and family living space. As part of the project, a basement is provided to the full footprint including a pool and spa to the main area. Open plan living dining as well as lounge and bar areas have been provided.
WB Engineers designed the reinforced concrete basement and retaining walls including the swimming pool slab for which A&B Pools provided the specific pool shell. Steelwork columns and beams were designed to create large open areas adopting hollowcore floors for increased robustness and quicker construction.
Due to extensive glazing, a number of fixed frame goal posts have been provided to maintain overall stability. Cantilever steelwork has been designed to allow a corner bi-folding door at ground floor providing clear access to the rear garden and proposed patio areas.
