Kyle is a chartered structural and civil engineer. He has extensive knowledge and experience in providing clients with solutions on challenging structural engineering developments. Kyle has worked on a diverse range of projects, from multi-site residential schemes, bespoke luxury newbuilds and multi-bay portal frame steelwork structures, to single storey orangeries and garden rooms. Kyle particularly enjoys meeting new clients and forming relationships built on trust and honesty. He has an open and friendly nature allowing him to get on well with both clients, contractors and all involved from the initial design process through to the project completion.

Ben Douglas

Civils Director

Ben Douglas is a Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE) with over 13 years of experience leading the delivery of major infrastructure, drainage, highways, and urban realm improvement schemes across the UK. An NEC4 Accredited Project Manager, he is widely recognised for his engineering excellence, decisive leadership, and pragmatic approach to solving complex challenges.
Ben works with both public and private sector clients in advisory and discipline lead roles. His portfolio includes large-scale regeneration projects, flood risk & sustainable drainage, and the design of education, industrial, housing, and healthcare developments.
Combining technical expertise with strategic oversight, Ben ensures that every solution is practical, sustainable, and commercially viable. He is committed to teamwork and mentoring future engineers to drive continual improvement across the civil engineering profession, and fostering collaboration within multidisciplinary design teams to ensure satisfactory delivery of construction projects.

Daniel Spires

Apprentice Engineer

Dan is currently undertaking the newly created engineering apprenticeship scheme following the successful completion of the Civil Engineering BTech, he has a natural understanding of structures and quickly grasps the supporting mechanisms and structural forms.

Campbell Taylor

Graduate Engineer

Campbell has recently graduated from Teesside University with a BEng In Civil Engineering after successfully completing the apprenticeship program. Campbell has a strong foundation in the design and analysis of various structures, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Campbell is currently pursuing IEng status with ICE and aims to broaden his expertise in all aspects of structural engineering, reflecting his dedication to ongoing learning and professional development.

Ethan Brown

Graduate Engineer

Ethan has recently graduated from Newcastle University with an MEng in Civil and Structural Engineering. He began his journey with WB Engineers with a summer placement after his 3rd year and continued working remotely during his master’s degree to enhance his practical knowledge before transitioning to full-time work. Currently, Ethan is actively working towards his IStructE chartership and is interested in expanding his expertise in designing steel frames, demonstrating his commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Kofi has over 20 years of experience in structural design and project management, bringing a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the delivery of complex projects across a broad range of sectors. His work spans residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, railway and leisure buildings, as well as energy infrastructure and machine platforms. Kofi’s career reflects a strong commitment to technical excellence, effective team leadership, and the efficient execution of projects from concept through to completion.

Will Delderfield
Apprentice Engineer

After successfully completing his GCSE’s, Will joined WB Engineers in September 2024 on a Civil Engineering Apprenticeship. Will is looking forward to gaining work based knowledge and experience to compliment his college learning as he looks to become an Engineer.

Connor Mitchell
BIM Manager / Technician

Connor has recently graduated Leeds Beckett University. He has over 10 years of experience working on major international projects and gaining EngTech accreditation with the Institute of Civil Engineers. Connor has taken on the role of BIM lead, following successfull delivery of high-quality structural designs across a wide range of sectors, ensuring seamless coordination and digital project delivery from concept design through to construction stage. He has a proven ability to manage model integrity, clash detection, and data-rich outputs.

Akeem Animasaun

Akeem completed his master's degree (MSc) in Civil and Structural Engineering at Teesside University with distinction and brings engineering experience. Akeem is skilled in steel, reinforced concrete, and composite structures, as well as finite element analysis and advanced computer modeling. Leveraging his international perspective and strong technical background, Akeem consistently delivers innovative, accurate structural solutions and is committed to driving project success, enhancing quality control, and supporting multidisciplinary teams throughout all project stages.
