Residential
Assisting both small and large developers in creating new residential developments typically consisting of a number of differing house types as part of a new infrastructure system. WBE provides superstructure design, foundation designs such as traditional strip founds, rafts and pile, and ground beam solutions, working alongside specialist contractors using ground improvement techniques.
Conversions – We provide both structural assessments on the suitability of building conversions and change of use to allow existing structures to be upcycled into much needed residential homes, as well as structural design for additional floors where assessments allow.
Domestic
Newbuild dwelling design – we work alongside architects and clients producing structural engineering plans and calculations to facilitate newbuilds of all sizes.
Extensions – Structural design calculations to facilitate the introduction of extensions as well as modifications to the existing structure, such as wall removals, ensuring the structural integrity is not compromised.
We undertake inspections and surveys of properties to provide information on the general structural condition, as well as specific defects such as subsidence, masonry cracks and roof defects. We provide structural surveys for homeowners wishing to buy and sell properties.

We also provide structural solutions for educational buildings, such as alterations, introduction of extensions and assessments for modular teaching rooms, which are becoming increasingly popular for education trusts with limited budgets.
Healthcare
We work closely alongside our clients to facilitate numerous structural challenges relating to the delivery of patient care. We also consider the practicalities of installing new pieces of technical equipment such as CT scanners and MRI’s. We also assist our clients with the structural design for hospital extensions as well as ward renovations and equipment updates.
