The project involved the refurbishment of an existing MRI room at the hospital. As part of the updates, new M&E equipment was required to be installed on the roof – albeit, the roof structure was unsuitable to support the plant. A new raised access deck was introduced to support the AHU.

Working closely alongside the contractor, architect and M&E engineers, a solution was provided that facilitate the least impact on the existing structure and hospitals day to day process.

Due to weight, a crane was required to install the AHU deck and the AHU. These works were undertaken on a weekend when pedestrian use is at it lowest, albeit still present.
